Chaand Chupa Badal Mein

At night when the stars light up my room, I sit by myself, talking to the moon.           Tonight is a very special night for me, and it's Kojagiri Pournima (Sharad Pournima as some might say). Ever since a child, year after year, we celebrate this day by sitting in the night flooded with the light of the full moon, drinking milk.  Since moon is supposed to be closest to the earth on this day, the moon rays are said to have curative properties. The vessel containing the sweet is prepared and left in the moonlight to be consumed later.           According to Ayurveda, the `pitta' or acidity aggravates at the end of the monsoon season. This is the reason why cooling foods are recommended to neutralise the pitta and balance it. The consumption of cold milk and rice flakes is supposed to be a good remedy for pitta.           Coming back , I remember my mother would make me sit by the window,...

Sweater Weather

Sunny Side Up. I wish there was an option like this for the weather besides eggs. These days I can barely see the sun ☀ . I love rain, because its dramatic and romantic ( obviously all credit goes to Bollywood ), but I love to soak up the heat and light from the sun. I'm a total beach bum to be honest. But sometimes, cozy corners, comfortable clothes, some rain and a cuppa tea truly makes my day.

As the sun's gone missing and the weather is pretty chilly, I like to wear sweaters all the time. It keeps me warm since I'm always a little cold ❄ in the rainy season. I have like a gazillion sweaters because I like over-sized clothes. They are just so comfy. Initially, I didn't like wearing sweaters or jumpers because it made me look like a tiny bug about to explode. Up until I grew up ( well that's debatable ), I found myself embracing that look.

Trend wise, I think sweaters are back with a bomb and are in it for the long haul. If the last monsoon was more of a bright coloured clothes and crazy patterns, today it's more about pastels and monochromatic sweaters, softer fabrics, muted colours ( grey, whites, blues, pinks ).

Here's a round up of the sweaters I wore. Believe me there are a gazillion other sweaters.

Oh here's mum.

Tshirts and jeans pairings that'll save your day!

Hey guys! This is my first blog post so please bear with me ... and lets get started. As we all know that tshirts and jeans are an essential part of our wardrobe which we use daily or must certainly have as a part of our closet ..so why not style them differently and make your day by turning heads along the road ? For today I paired a stripped back t-shirt with a medium light blue denim jeans which is I guess essentially a part of regular wear ... I love Smokey eyes as this increases the oomph factor. The light pink lips also make the most of this outfit. We can also pair this outfit with white sneakers or the sandals that I have worn ... I love these sandals because they feel so wonderful ! For the second outfit: I have worn  a blue tshirt with a high waist Flare hem jeans with black heels and im in love with this oufit #ootd ...
