At night when the stars light up my room, I sit by myself, talking to the moon. Tonight is a very special night for me, and it's Kojagiri Pournima (Sharad Pournima as some might say). Ever since a child, year after year, we celebrate this day by sitting in the night flooded with the light of the full moon, drinking milk. Since moon is supposed to be closest to the earth on this day, the moon rays are said to have curative properties. The vessel containing the sweet is prepared and left in the moonlight to be consumed later. According to Ayurveda, the `pitta' or acidity aggravates at the end of the monsoon season. This is the reason why cooling foods are recommended to neutralise the pitta and balance it. The consumption of cold milk and rice flakes is supposed to be a good remedy for pitta. Coming back , I remember my mother would make me sit by the window,...
I happen to be that kind of a girl which doesn't go out that much. I don't. But. There's a big BUT (T) in the middle.(A teacher I used to hate in Primary School said this a bit too much). Anyway I DO like to dress up, as you can see. With the pandemic going on and stuff, I happened to organize my wadrobe, which led me to find this dress which I'd almost never wear but I loved it so much I thought why not put it in my blog ?
For my #ootd I wore a black dress with like shimmery stuff sewn in it, paired with black studs for the jewellery. Its like I'm going to a club or something. (I have never tho.) Actually this dress was gifted me a very long time ago, by my Mami who lives in New Jersey, USA. I'm surprised how the heck I still fit into that dress. For the make-up, I went for the smokey eye look and a nude lipstick to subtle the eye look. The lipstick was one of the cooler-toned nude lipsticks which goes quite well with dramatic eyes. Just like me. What can I say? I'm just a girl in a black dress !
