Chaand Chupa Badal Mein

At night when the stars light up my room, I sit by myself, talking to the moon.           Tonight is a very special night for me, and it's Kojagiri Pournima (Sharad Pournima as some might say). Ever since a child, year after year, we celebrate this day by sitting in the night flooded with the light of the full moon, drinking milk.  Since moon is supposed to be closest to the earth on this day, the moon rays are said to have curative properties. The vessel containing the sweet is prepared and left in the moonlight to be consumed later.           According to Ayurveda, the `pitta' or acidity aggravates at the end of the monsoon season. This is the reason why cooling foods are recommended to neutralise the pitta and balance it. The consumption of cold milk and rice flakes is supposed to be a good remedy for pitta.           Coming back , I remember my mother would make me sit by the window,...

Current Favorites for Healthier skin

Winter is coming. . . . I'm not talking about Game of Thrones. (Although am I ?). I was reffering to the fuss all girls (and to some extent even boys, but its normal, I'm not prejudiced) make when the winter arrives and how it affects their skin.

As I said in my earlier blogposts, I do not use too many products since I believe minimalism is the key to skincare and also partially because my skin is super sensitive, but I do like some products. Even though I don't use them regularly, I would definitely recommend it.

1. Clinique Moisture Surge.

I was a little sceptical before buying this gel-crème but I'm super happy I bought it. Sometimes my skin gets dry and this cream is just absolutely beautiful. Its my second luxury product for skincare (can be used as a day/night cream) and I defintely use it atleast 3-4 times a week. It's a 72 hour auto-replenishing hydrator and stands by on what it preaches. This cream hydrates the skin and makes it look juicy and plump. I love the formula since most moisturisers tend to be a little sticky but this cream is definitely not. Obviously clinique is my no. 1 on the must have skin-care products.

2. Olay : Renegerist

I have seen my mum use Olay since as long as I can remember. This revitalising cream is a night cream. Its milky white and the texture is just beautiful. Generally I do not apply anything on my skin before I sleep because I like my skin to breathe. i just wash my face before going to bed. Although, my mum uses this cream and no other cream has made a difference to her skin. This cream repairs and regenerates the skin. This cream usually removes fine lines and acts as an anti-oxidant. I have tried it a couple of times. This is again at a higher price but you can totally go for it. Believe me I don't have a lot of products and neither do I have a consistant skin-care regime, but before I buy any product I make sure its worth it.

3. Ponds Age Miracle

Now would you look at that ? I'm not even a lady and definitely not old. But I have used this cream since I'm in my "early twenties" now. It's a day cream with spf 18 PA++ which has retinol complex. Its an affordable cream and you can see the difference immediately once it's applied on the skin. Obviously my mum uses it a lot more and this cream is worth using. This cream is also useful for those age spots or blemishes. Its also a wrinkle corrector. The skin becomes more elastic and soft. Good Product altogether.

I mostly (sometimes) use homemade face masks for a better and healthier skin since there are no side effects, but some creams work wonders for the skin. I hope you have a glowy skin !

Tshirts and jeans pairings that'll save your day!

Hey guys! This is my first blog post so please bear with me ... and lets get started. As we all know that tshirts and jeans are an essential part of our wardrobe which we use daily or must certainly have as a part of our closet ..so why not style them differently and make your day by turning heads along the road ? For today I paired a stripped back t-shirt with a medium light blue denim jeans which is I guess essentially a part of regular wear ... I love Smokey eyes as this increases the oomph factor. The light pink lips also make the most of this outfit. We can also pair this outfit with white sneakers or the sandals that I have worn ... I love these sandals because they feel so wonderful ! For the second outfit: I have worn  a blue tshirt with a high waist Flare hem jeans with black heels and im in love with this oufit #ootd ...
