At night when the stars light up my room, I sit by myself, talking to the moon. Tonight is a very special night for me, and it's Kojagiri Pournima (Sharad Pournima as some might say). Ever since a child, year after year, we celebrate this day by sitting in the night flooded with the light of the full moon, drinking milk. Since moon is supposed to be closest to the earth on this day, the moon rays are said to have curative properties. The vessel containing the sweet is prepared and left in the moonlight to be consumed later. According to Ayurveda, the `pitta' or acidity aggravates at the end of the monsoon season. This is the reason why cooling foods are recommended to neutralise the pitta and balance it. The consumption of cold milk and rice flakes is supposed to be a good remedy for pitta. Coming back , I remember my mother would make me sit by the window,...
Traditional Day : 14th February 2020
Hey guys ! I hope you all had an AMAZING start to the decade 2020. On the other hand , I had these exams which almost sucked the life outta me. Throughout the whole 4 months, I have been MIA (missing in action) and I apologize for that . I also had the most incredible time.
I had my ensemble (which I'll be posting soooooon , promise), in which I participated (but not going to burst the bubble just yet). So instead, let's talk about the Traditional day. We all have traditional days in college right ? Just like that, it was scheduled.
As usual , I didn't plan my outfit prior to the day (but my laziness is not to be blamed because i had participated in the ensemble ). Anyways just like I stole my mom's dresses when I was little and pretended to be a grown up, I stole one of her Paithani Sari which was perfect for the occasion. Take a look and tell me if I'm wrong about the sari or not. Hope you have a great day today !
